Is back, but not forever (Open)

So.... It's been awhile....

Yes it has, Gabriel. Quite a while.

You all probably hate me, Don't you.

I think by now we're all a bit indifferent.

Well... is everything... okay?

It has been as well as you might expect.

Gabe looks down at his shoes, standing outside on the porch, at the front door "So.. guess this means I'm unwelcome here.. right?"

Mohinder looks a bit exasperated. "You're always welcome here." He opens the door a bit wider and steps aside, an obvious invitation. "Have you got anything with you, or...?

Gabe shakes his head "No.." he took a deep breath and entered the house, it seemed so strange, being here, it didn't feel like home to him anymore.

Peter folded his arms and watched Gabe enter the house, stepping back to give him room. "You can stay in your old bedroom, if you'd like." He really was indifferent, Gabe was, while familiar, basically a stranger to him by now. He didn't feel the warmth he used to when looking at him, not what he felt around Spock and Mohinder, not even a lingering fondness, but no anger either, just the sense that there was another strange person in their house that he didn't really know.

Gabe kept his hands to his sides, looking around, he had a slight flash back of many things hes done in this house, it made him freeze and squeeze his eyes closed, taking a deep breath, he cleared his throat, "It's nice seeing you again, Peter... Spock, Mohinder." He faked a small smile and made himself sit down on the sofa.

Gabe's presence hit Mohinder suddenly, almost like a physical blow, and his eyes widened a fraction. Maybe Peter had fallen out of love with him over time, but Mohinder hadn't. It took him a moment or two to get his composure back together, and then he turned to Peter, catching him around the waist and murmuring, "Why don't you go check on the lab and make sure nothing's exploded."

He pressed a kiss to Peter's lips, lingering for a moment, and then pulled away, watching as the other man hurried off, glad to be rid of the atmosphere. While he was occupied with Peter, Spock had taken a seat on the chair facing the couch, and that left him with the other side of said couch. He mentally braced himself and sat down, he would stay calm, he would not jump on Gabriel or greet him too enthusiastically or yell at him and hit him either.

Gabriel felt uneasy being here, he felt unwanted and like he was being shunned, Hes done so many things he regrets, he remembered he had raped Peter, everything else hes managed to mentally block out he shifted and noticed everything was so quiet "So has anything changed sense I left?" Gabriel looked between Mohinder and Spock.

"Nothing of note, I believe. We go about our daily life in quite a similar way to how we did before you left, although it is a lot quieter now." Spock paused, looking at Mohinder for confirmation on whether or not to continue. "Mohinder occasionally does lectures on genetics at a nearby University for money, Peter does things like save cats from trees for money." Mohinder made an amused sound at that. "I work as a scientist for the government. But there have not been any major changes in our lives, no."

Gabriel slowly looked down, this was harder then he thought, he was beginning to panic, he rubbed his face and stood up "I have to use the bathroom, excuse me.." When he really didn't need to at all, he needed to get away, or he might have an emotional break down from all these mixed feelings.


He made it to the bathroom remembering at least where it was, closing and locking the door, he sat on the floor against the wall and pulled his knees to his chest, feeling like his heart being crushed, he was trying to calm himself down before he started to cry.

Peter caught sight of Gabe disappearing into the bathroom and tiptoed over, listening at the door. After a few moments of sound his suspicions were confirmed, and he knocked lightly. "Can I come in?"

Gabe flinched at the voice coming threw the door, he knew it was Peter, he sighed, gathering himself and shoving his emotions back before he stood and leaned against the sink "Yeah.." he confirmed, looking away from the door.

Peter used his telekinesis to unlock it, locks were really a pointless thing in the household, just a formality, and opened the door, slipping into the bathroom. "Look, I know- I don't really know you, and I don't love you anymore, at least not right now, but I don't hate you either, I'm not even angry at you." He paused, laying a hand on Gabe's arm. "And I don't want to see you upset, so what can I do to help?"

Feeling Peters hand lay upon his arm sent some kind of shock to Gabriel, he turned his head away and squeezed his eyes shut, he held his breath a second before letting it out slowly, He was silent, afraid if he said something, his emotions would just sprinkle over it and give away how he felt.

"You can talk to me, you know. I'm not going to get upset or judge you or anything..." Peter said quietly. "I'm a good listener."

Gabriel calmed himself and opened his eyes, "I don't think right now is a good time talk Peter... I haven't seen you in years, I still have feelings for you and I'm having a hard time being here, Mixed emotions can really mess you up.."

Peter stepped forward and wrapped his arms around Gabriel, pulling him into a hug. "Do you plan on staying?"

Gabriel let out a soft sigh and hugged back, it felt so nice "Unfortunately .."

"I wouldn't say it's a bad thing." Peter said, tightening his grip a bit. "You're not unwelcome here, it's just weird... And Spock still cares about you, and Mohinder... still loves you. A lot." He glanced toward the door. "He still has nightmares, and sometimes... other dreams, where he wakes up shouting your name. I do what I can, but sometimes I can't do anything." He turned his face into Gabe's shoulder. "It'll be nice to have you back, Gabriel."

"I guess it's just one of those things we have to work at till works..." He sighed softly "I should get back.. In case they're worried or something..." He let go of Peters embrace and smiled "Thank you Peter..."
